Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer. Founded in 1974, by growing our register of stem cell donors, conducting research and supporting patients, Anthony Nolan cures blood cancer and blood disorders. But we need to do more. Without you, there is no cure.

Story

Hello! I'm going to be attempting to cycle from the East of England to the West (about 500 miles) throughout August to help fundraise for Anthony Nolan, the UK's largest bone marrow register. I'll be part of a team of 4 volunteers from Marrow groups across the country who will be cycling from Lowestoft, England's most easterly point, to it's most westerly at Land's End. Along the way we'll not only be trying to raise as much money and awareness as possible, but we'll also be holding recruitment events to try and sign people up to the register!

As a charity, Anthony Nolan aims to sign people up to the register, and find donors (people who are on the register) to donate their stem cells to someone who really needs them - those with blood cancers such as leukaemia. Anthony Nolan also relies on donations and the fundraising efforts of volunteers; it costs £100 for each person to be signed up to the register! Obviously we want as many people on the register as possible, but for a charity it is also very expensive, so I want to help out a little.

I volunteer with the student branch of Anthony Nolan in Leeds, but I'd like to give more and to challenge myself, so please help me fundraise and contribute to this wonderful cause! If you'd like to know more about Anthony Nolan, take a look at their webpage: http://www.anthonynolan.org/

Thank you so much,

Laura. x
