My story

Thanks for visiting my page.

I decided to enter the Swindon Half Marathon a few months ago following a really sucessful team race held at work in which I actually managed to run 3.5 miles without stopping. This filled me with the confidence that I was the next Paula Radcliff and so promptly registered myself in for a gruelling 13.1 miles of hills around the Swindon countryside.

Training was going well until my horse disposed of me over a jump and I landed on my knee awkwardly, however it does unfortunalty seem to have got better and so there is no excuse for me not to continue.

I am raising money for The Halcrow Foundation which aims to alleviate poverty and suffering around the world caused by natural disaster or as a result of people’s social and economic conditions. It does this through the development of education, health and other social services, the improvement of transport infrastructure, water supplies and other communal facilities and the promotion of self help activities.
