My story
Laura and Serena have decided to take on the highest mountain in the world...
...okay, just the base camp...but the highest mountain in the world nonetheless!! Over a period of ca. 2 weeks we will trek through the Nepalese Himalayas, finally reaching a highpoint at Kalapathar (5,545m).
In order to get there, we need your help! (Believe it or not, we actually haven't been there yet. We know the picture is very convincing, but those are actually just our advanced graphic design skills fooling you). We have pledged to raise as much money as we can before the trip (a minimum of £5,230 between the two of us), donating the final amount to the politically independent non-profit organization "War Child" upon our departure.
About the organization:
"War Child International is a network of independent organisations, working across the world to help children affected by war. War Child was founded upon a fundamental goal: to advance the cause of peace through investing hope in the lives of children caught up in the horrors of war."
