Dartmoor Challenge · 13 September 2014

ShelterBox work to ensure that vulnerable families around the world have life-saving emergency shelter, and other essential tools and aid items, after disaster strikes. Be it an earthquake, flood, conflict or hurricane, we are there for those most in need.

Story

I am taking on the Dartmoor Challenge, raising money for a wonderful global cause to help bring shelter to those most in need.

I'll be walking 45 miles over the UK's bleakest, boggiest landscape in just two days - but the fun doesn't stop there. My team of four will also be carrying a big green ShelterBox; the box delivered by the Shelter Box charity to disaster zones to help bring desperate relief all over the world.

I'm undertaking this challenge because some of my favourite memories come from Dartmoor, where I took part in numerous trekking events as a teenager. I'm now rejoining some of my teammates from school to relive our walking past - and if we can raise some cash along the way then all the better!
