On 22 May 2018, I am walking from Barnsley to Sheffield to raise money to support those with Alzheimer's and their family and friends as part of the Hike it or Bike it challenge. The Alzheimer Society's vision is to transform the landscape of dementia to support those with the disability and help them to be accepted in the community. The money raised will support the Society to research the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia. There are over 850,000 people in the UK living with dementia, 42,000 of these have young onset dementia which affects people under the age of 65. It is estimated that the number of people living in the UK with dementia will rise to over 1 million. Any support you can provide is really appreciated.
