Laura's EPIC adventure

Thames Path Challenge 2014 · 13 September 2014 ·
Hello!
I am hoping to walk 100km (62miles) along the Thames path on the 13th/14th Sept in memory of my dad who passed away from cancer 12th Sept 1997 aged just 42.
My dad was pretty cool, he loved music and taught me how to play the guitar, he was funny, kind and a bit daft. He was adventurous and loved exploring the outdoors, often dragging me along on boring bush walks and up steep volcanos in New Zealand. Secretly I think he also loved a waterside - I made him go on plenty of those.
So to celebrate his life I am going to challenge my couch potato backside to walk a R.E.A.L.L.Y long way over a 24 hour period and hopefully raise money for the Macmillian Cancer Support charity as I go.
This is going to be seriously tough, mainly because I'm not fit in the slightest... YET.
So there are a few ways you can help me:
- Your much appreciated donation will help cancer sufferers and their familes and spur me on at 3am to keep going.
(I'm going to get a t-shirt printed with all ye contributors names on so you can be there with me, on my sweaty old back.)
- Check in with me over the coming weeks to see how training is getting on and help keep my motivation up!
Thank you for helping me and will see you at the finish line!
