SUNDAY 4th IS THE DAY!! Now, to speak to the weather man...
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am raising money for a smaller branch of the Crossreach charity called the BLUEBELL PND SERVICE which is based at the Tom Allan Centre, Elmbank Street, Glasgow.
I will be cycling the full length of the Forth & Clyde Canal with a short double-back to the Falkirk Wheel (40 miles) from Bowling to Carrick Sea Lock as a sponsored cycle. This is not a big, organised event. It is a personal challenge arranged and being participated in only by myself.
Bluebell provide a Counselling and creche facility for parents suffering ante-natal / post-natal depression. It is a free-of-charge service opened to any person requiring it's specialist service.It is a self-funding charity who rely on fundraising and donations to continue it's work and to support the volounteer counsellors and creche workers in their fantastic work. To put in perspective, a private counselling service not including childcare would cost approx. £50 per hour. How many new parents do you know could afford that?
I received this unconditional specialist care after the birth of my first daughter and in return I wish to help them in any way i can, so they can continue to help others like myself. When I received this life-saving treatment, they never asked anything of me - only 'how can we help?. Words cannot describe the gratitude I have for the help i received from my Counsellor and the team at Bluebell.
