Laura's GRIM Challenge

GRIM Challenge · 2 December 2017
UPDATE:
Good evening all of my lovely and amazing sponsors,
So I've got some bad news... After being ill for the past 3 weeks I have been put on some fairly strong antibiotics by the doctors for sinusitis. I have been trying my very hardest to get better in time for GRIM but having spoken with my doctor today I was advised not to take part. GRIM organisers also state not to do the challenge when you are unwell (the words hypothermia and pneumonia have been mentioned, which isn't what you want to hear) so I have decided to be smart (weird, I know) and rest up in bed on doctor's orders. I am totally gutted and really sad to be letting people down as you have all been so kind and generous in your support. However, I have decided to take on another muddy challenge in warmer months next year to deliver on all of the photos I have promised everyone.
As most of you will know me and assault courses do not get on well. It's a miracle if I even end up running on the running machine instead of doing a high gradient walk so taking on a challenge like the GRIM challenge is a huge one.
I started working for Combat Stress in October and instantly knew that the work that the charity does is vital for some veterans and their loved ones. The charity is able to offer life-changing treatment and support to those suffering with mental health and I couldn't think of a better reason to get muddy, cold and exhausted on 2nd December!
Please give what you can to this amazing cause and I promise to update you all with the many attractive pictures that will be taken on the day, bruises and all...
Wish me luck while I work on my upper body strength in the gym and try not to end up with a black eye!
Thank you and please do let me know if you would like me to share any information on Combat Stress with you. Raising funds is incredibly important but I also want to raise awareness so feel free to ask!
