On Friday 7th October I shall be attempting my second parachute jump. Aaaagh! The first went wrong because my blood pressure plummeted and I nearly lost consciousness. I never thought I would take to the skies again but this marvellous cause persuaded me to take up the challenge. The Urban Scholars Programme at Brunel University provides educational support to students 12 - 18 years old from disadvantaged backgrouds in Inner London schools so that learning potential can be achieved and better lives created. Heck, if they can be brave and take up the challenge then so can I. Think of me when I leap out of a plane at 13,000 feet........
