Three Peaks Challenge · 27 June 2015

The Pied Piper Appeal raises money to make a difference to sick and disabled children in Gloucestershire by funding the Children's Centre at GRH, supporting SEND schools, sending children and their families on Wish Holidays and improving experiences with mental health facilities.

Story

This year as part of the Brunsdon Heartfelt Foundation, we are raising money for The Pied Piper Appeal.

As part of a team of 10 I am attempting to complete The National Three Peaks Challenge, which consists of trekking up Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England) and Snowdonia (Wales), within 24 hours.

We are looking to raise £15,000 through various events for the Emily Kent Oncology Unit at Gloucester Royal Hospital, where the children need a play room that is separated from other patients due to their low immunity system. We are hopeful that our hard efforts can be rewarded by contributing a significant amount towards this total.

Around 7,000 sick children a year pass through the children's ward and approximately 30% of these children are suffering from cancer related issues, making this project very worthwhile.
