We perform pioneering research into genetic abnormalities of brain tumours, novel imaging techniques & drug delivery. We also excel in diagnosis, innovative treatment & raising awareness. Additional funding will enable crucial advances to be made in understanding & treating childhood brain tumours.

Story

Through working at the University of Nottingham Students' Union we have had the opportunity to learn more about the Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre (CBTRC), and meet some of the children, young people and families being helped by the ground breaking research undertaken at the Centre.

Sadly, more children die of brain tumours than any other cancer, and many that do survive are severely disabled.

For the past 20 years, the researchers and clinicians at the Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre have been at the forefront of leading-edge research. They have worked tirelessly to improve diagnosis, treatment and awareness, saving the lives and improving the recovery of thousands of children around the world, as well as here in Nottingham.

The crucial work undertaken at the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre is reliant entirely on research grants and public donations. We are aiming to support this vital work by putting our fitness to the test at the Robin Hood Half Marathon and with your help raising as much money for CBTRC as we can!

Thank you for your support.

Together, we can create a brighter future for children with brain tumours.
