HomeRun is a running club for the “homeless”. Run by themselves, for themselves. It is a small but effective cog in the treatment and rehabilitation of a group of exceptional individuals. People brave enough to take up one of the biggest challenges of them all: changing their life. HomeRun not only gives them the physiological and psychological benefits of exercise, but a mentality to take up a goal, rise to a challenge and succeed in doing it. Events such 10k races, the 3 peak challenge have been faced and crushed.  The life changes of those achieving sometimes truly amazing.

On the 2 October we are looking to raise money to keep the challenges going. The club wants to attend races across the country, smash personal bests, and keep the goal posts appetisingly in the distance. It will need to pay for van hire to races, entrance fees, costs that mount up and become a serious problem for the guys to participate in these events. This money will be managed by Turning Point  in conjunction with the HomeRun members. 100% of the money raised will be going to the club members NOT on administration.

At 9am 2 October 5 highly qualified instructors will start a strength and conditioning master class. The class will start promptly at this time so please get there early to register.  This will happen in Hyde Park in the cockpit, by the Serpentine car park. Open to all abilities you will walk away after three hours not only feeling worked out, but empowered with new knowledge. It is during this time that your hand will relish the sweet cooling sensation of gripping sister steel and the heart pounding joy of swinging brother iron. For 3 hours you will learn to lift, to sweat, and you will toil. “Strength ,Honour, Kettlebells” will seep out of your very pores as you will be put through your paces in your quest for physical glory. With a “cross-fit” inspired circuit to end (with fully qualified cross fit instructors) you will develop a joy that will echo through your body for all eternity.

“Man does not make the challenge.......the challenge makes the man”.

Pick up the gauntlet, make a donation and come; or if you just want to give, by going to JUST GIVING account Turningpoint/Homerun. (it must go in this account not simply Turningpoint). Account will be activated from afternoon 19 sept.
