Laurence's 100k challenge

Bupa Great Birmingham Run 2013 · 20 October 2013 ·
This year my goal is to run a total of 100k for my chosen charity - Birmingham Children’s Hospital - in a series of organised race events. These will range from 10k road races, to cross-country mud runs and eventually the wonderful Birmingham half marathon in October. I will be doing this as part of a team from BMF Birmingham who will also take the “100k Challenge” in support of the Birmingham Children's Hospital (BCH).
So far I am committed to the following events :
> The Major (20th April) 10k - completed
> npower Solihull run (17th May) 10k - completed
> London 10,000 (27th May) 10k - completed
> Two Castles (9th June) 10k - completed
> Coombe Abbey Run Fest (30th June) 10k - completed
> Bristol Half Marathon (15th Sept) 21k - completed
> The Major (5th Oct) 10k - completed
> Great Birmingham run (20th Oct) HM 21k - completed
I feel particularly pleased to be able to be support BCH, as I believe that it makes such a huge difference to so many kids lives. Not just in the city, but as a specialist centre for kids coming from much further away. I've been lucky enough to have only needed to take my own kids to hospital for minor injuries a few times over the years; though i can appreciate that for others a trip to BCH is unfortunately far more worrying. I therefore, want to do what i can to help raise funds towards the BCH Children's Cancer Centre Appeal.
I appreciate that there are many competing demands for charity donations these days, so any donations large or small will be hugely welcomed.
For which I can't thank you enough. Laurence
