2. The highest incidence of pancreatic cancer worldwide is in Europe and North America.
Pancreatic cancer in Europe
1. Pancreatic cancer is already the fourth biggest cancer killer in Europe as a whole. The number of people dying from the disease has risen continuously for the past 40 years.
Median survival after diagnosis is 4.5 months, and fewer than 7% of people survive for 5 years after diagnosis.
