12 Hour DJ Set · 14 June 2014

When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

I've decided to do a 12-hour DJ Set on behalf of the Stroke Association, after being RAK Nominated (Random Act of Kindness) by a friend.

Why a DJ set? As my friends and family will know, I've been DJ-ing since the early 80's and still do a bit now and then. It's something I can do and something I'll enjoy.

Why The Stroke Association? My Dad had a stroke last May and whilst it was nowhere near as bad as it could have been and not as bad as other people have had (like my Aunt some years ago), it's still changed his life dramatically. It's also changed my and my Brother's life too, so it feels like a good cause.

Anyway, the DJ Set will be taking place on June 14th 2014 at Wilsons Bar in Oswestry, Shropshire - my good friend Seb Siddi who is the Manager of Wilsons and the Wynnstay Hotel next door kindly volunteered to host it.

I'll be starting at 11am that morning, finishing in time for England v Italy in the World Cup.

Thanks for your interest and hopefully your support!
