Story
On Easter weekend 2019 myself and a friend will be attempting to complete the Devizes to Westminster canoe race. This is a 125 mile non stop canoe marathon incorporating 77 portages along the way. The main target for participants is completing the course in 24 hours, our aim will be finishing this gruelling event. We are novices to kayaking having only just started, needless to say this will be a huge challenge!
I will be attempting this event to raise money for Demelza, the children’s hospice that cared for my son, Joshua during his short life. They are a truly wonderful organisation who provide such vital support to children with complex needs whilst also offering fantastic support to the children’s families at their greatest time of need.
I owe this organisation a debt I will never be able to repay, but I will still try. Please donate what you can, I assure the money raised will be going to a truly life changing cause.
If nothing else, you are also donating to me getting very cold, wet, tired and sore both in training and during the race which must be worth something too!
Please give what you can.
