Story

Bertie was a very special Dog who unfortunately developed an incurable illness when only 9 Years old and he passed away 18 months later.

He made an impression on everyone he met, He was a real character with a strong personality.

I got Bertie when he was only 6 weeks old and a bundle of fun. I was in between wives and he became a real companion. In fact he never argued with me, he was grateful just to be fed watered and loved I could watch as much football as I wanted and I could go to the pub when I wanted. There's a lot to be said for a friend like Bertie

During his short life I had to seek help with him and the Glasgow Vet School Small Animal Hospital were wonderful with him and with me.

I want to raise money for them to go someway to a lasting memory to Bertie which will benefit other animals

I intend to climb Mount Kilimanjaro from 2nd to 8th July 2011 and hopefully celebrate my 60th birthday on top. Co-incedently it would have been Bertie's birthday when I am intending to do the climb as well so doubly important

Any donation is very very welcome and you can be assured it will be going to a very good cause.

Many thanks

Lawrence
