Frank Water sets up sustainable, community-owned clean water projects in some of the most water-scarce communities globally. To date we've worked with 789 communities, providing access to safe, clean drinking water to over 546,059 people. Join us and be part of the solution.

Story

I wanted to have a charity place for this event as it will give me the encouragement to push harder throughout the training and the race.

The race will involve a 750m swim in the habour followed by a 12.5 mile cycle on the portway then a 3.1 mile run on the cycle track. It's going to be hard work but I aim to finish with a smile on my face!

I chose Frank Water because they do amazing work around the world providing clean, fresh water to billions of people. They are a Bristol born and bred charity and so far have provided funding for 88 projects creating a sustainable source of water.

An example of where your money goes is Ravi:

He's an agricultural worker who earns around £3 per day. Until FRANK Water funded a clean water project in his village, he couldn't afford to buy safe drinking water for his family. Now he says:

"I have noticed that my children are no longer gloomy and their skin is better. I believe in good water for good health."
