Story

The Hogmanay tequila & mojito combo has obviously addled my brain as I thought it would be a good idea to sign up for a firewalk.

Scottish Hungtington's Association are going to benefit from my momentary lapse of reason as they're giving me the opportunity to fulfil a long-held ambition to cross burning hot embers... Peter Duncan has a lot to answer for!

So, on Friday, 27th January I will be stepping out onto a 20ft bed of embers burning away at a temperature of 1,236 degrees fahrenheit.

I need to raise some funds so I qualify for the firewalk, so please help me out! All donations will be gratefully accepted and it's for a good cause (over & above the possibility that I may fall flat on my face).

I should mention the charity stuff...All money raised will benefit SHA's HD Specialist Service in Lothian, which offers a lifeline to people affected by Hungtington's disease, their families & carers. SHA is the only charity in Scotland dedicated to helping people affected by HD. Without their services, 6,000 people would be left without that lifeline. £300,000 is needed this year alone to maintain their services. So every penny helps. For more info go to: www.hdscotland.org.

If anyone wants to come and make sure that I complete the firewalk, be at Tusitala, 47 Buckstone Terrace at 7:45pm on 27th January and help me celebrate with a pint afterwards.

Ta muchly!
