Way way back in 1978 my granddad ,who is said to have been a lovely humorous man, sadly passed away as a result of a brain tumour.My mum , who was only 18 at the time, then became good friends with a colleague who helped her with her loss and he later went on to be known as "granddad". However tragedy struck again in 2009 when he was diagnosed with lung cancer in August of that year when he eventually died of his illness after a huge struggle. Agonizingly history then went on to repeat itself with my half brother's (again aged 18) mum passed away as a result again of cancer.

All three of the above people where helped out by The Christie in their final days, and for this reason i have chosen to shave off my hair to raise money for them, i would feel honoured if you would go to my just giving site and donate not for me but in their memory
