I have wanted to do voluntary work for a while now, and after some research I discovered Restless Development who do great work liasing with local communities and helping them with what they need the most. I opted to volunteer in South Africa once I was accepted, as I myself am from South Africa myself, and would love to give back to my motherland. 

Restless Development (South Africa) was founded in 1997 in response to the devastating impact of HIV and AIDS on young South Africans and the lack of preventative health education interventions in rural communities.

We will be volunterring in the Eastern Cape, where youth unemployment exceeds 50%; and the HIV prevalence rate among young people is 19%, compared to the national average of 12%.
