Hi my name is Lee Cooper,

I am competing in the Iron Man distance event, The Outlaw Triathlon to be held in August 2010. I completed the Iron Man UK event at Sherbourne in 2008 (Swim 2.4 miles, Bike 112 miles and Run 26.2 Miles) finishing in a time of 14hours 49 minutes.

The Outlaw Triathlon is the same distance but will be based around the Nottingham area. Last time I managed to raise £750 for the Help The Heroes Charity, this year I aim to go faster and beat my previous time and hopefully raise even more money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital For Sick Children (GOSH).

My partners brother spent over a year at the Hospital for treatment against Cancer when he was just 15months old. Thanks to the marvellous work of all the staff and medical supplies/equipment at the hospital, he has been clear from the disease for 10 years. He attends regular check ups and all the family have benefitted from the tremendous support and care he receives.

 

At the moment I am training twice a day and I have a lot of support from Family and Friends. Suzzanna is on hand permanently to wash my sweaty sports kit ready for next use and she is sick of the sight of my muddy trainers in the hall! LOL But a great support ;-)

 

Some people think I am mad to do another one but it's all for charity and believe it or not I enjoy doing it (yes ok I'm a little mad) LOL
