Well, the first bit has been completed, and I think it was even tougher than I imagined - but still posted a sub 2 hour time for my first half marathon, and have to be pleased with that. Next up is the small matter of the Dragon Ride, on Sunday June 5th. This is going to be a 200 km cycle event around Wales, which is not too flat apparently, and is bound to prove more than a little difficult.
I'm doing this in aid of the West of England School for young people with little or no sight.
It's a fantastic cause, which needs all the help it can get. So for all the effort I'm putting into training and the pain of the run, it pales into insignificance against the work that all concerned with the school put in on a daily basis.
I'm hoping that you can spare as much as you can towards this totally worthy cause.
