Story

Just a quick note to say thanks to all of you who have supported my fund raising - the last 7 miles were tougher than I thought they were going to be but the knowledge of all the good works that will be done with the money you all donated got me through and even pushed me on even inspired me to beat my personel target of sub 3.30 - 3.27.27 ;0)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

2008 London Marathom was my first experience of the (in)famous marathon and one I said I would never repeat, but as the years pass the memory fades and you forget the early morning runs, the long Sunday runs, the blisters, the muscle pulls, the WALL :-) and unforunately for me and my bank balance I suffer not only from selective memory loss but an uncurable case of "Greyhounditous".

So it's time to pull on the runners, set the alarm for "o my lord" it's early, say goodbye to Sunday lay-ins, and hello again to deepheat, blisters, no toe nails and vaseline (26 miles gives lots of opportunities for chaffing) and raise some money for the Hounds while the body is still able to do what the mind foolishly forgets is not really a good idea.

Please check out the Greyhound Rescue West of England web site to find out more about the fantastic work done to help these wonderful animals.
