There are a lot of great charities and a lot are close to my heart but the one closest if BabyBeat, it's aimed at giving the little Mr Men and Little Miss a fighting chance on their journey into the world and when they arrive in the world.

I am running the Liverpool Marathon on 9th October 2011 for The Royal Preston Hosital Maternity Unit charity called Baby Beat.

Now to raise money for sponsorship I am using the slogan Running a Marathon for the price of a Snickers!!" (a lot of the younger ones can even remember Snickers being called Marathon!)

I would ask people to sponsor for:

1. Individual Snicker  £0.55p
2. Pack of 3 = £1.35p
3. Multipack £2,09

Etc

Obvious if people want more than one they can! It's a one off sponsorship not per mile, it is a way of getting a little from a large amount as I know  people already give a lot.

It has generated a lot of pledges as it isnt asking for too much.
