Story

In 2002 I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia where I had 4 courses of chemotherapy and a Bone Marrow Transplant at the RVI in Newcastle, today I am still here because of the hard work and efforts of the staff at the hospital.

A bike ride will take place in May where a bunch of us will ride from John O'Groats in Scotland to Newcastle Upon Tyne in 6 days. We aim to raise £30,000 which will go towards supporting a Bright Red Outreach Nurse who will help support those with Blood Cancers in the North East.

Doing this ride and helping raise money for the charity is one of the only ways I can say Thank You to the staff who helped me on my journey. This charity and the ride means so much to me personally and all I ask is that you spare what you can for the charity.
