<p>On Sunday 22nd January 2012, I completed my first event as part of the Iron Coppers Team. I was part of a team of 3 that took part in "The Weavers Down Winter Warmer" at Longmoor in Hampshire. Having been briefed by Paul Stevenson as what to expect the event came as a complete suprise..think Paul was being selective so as to lure me in..The event consisted of a 2 mile run, followed by a 9 mile mountain bike course and a further 3 mile run. At this stage of the preceedings I was greatful that Martin Henderson and Paul Stevenson are competent and skilfull in a&nbsp;kayak and felt it only fair they power and steer the kayak whilst I checked out the view. This was follwed by a further 3 mile run and another 9 mile circuit on the bike course prior to some team tasks and then the finish. We all completed the event and raised much needed funds for Cancer research. Many thanks to all those who have supported us either through donating, being at the event and cheering us on or both.
