As you may know I am planning to move to Bolgatanga, Ghana in mid-February where I will be working as a Community Advocacy Support Officer. I will be working to empower community groups and by building relationships at community level to encourage more poor and disadvantaged children to go to school and to be retained in school. By working with a range of volunteers I hope to do my part to affect positive and sustainable change which will in turn, we hope, reduce the widespread poverty in the northern area of the country.

Your donation to VSO can help them to send skilled volunteers from a wide range of professions to some of the poorest areas in the world. By sharing skills the people of places like northern Ghana can work themselves out of poverty.
