Story

Hi thanks for taking the time to visit Lee's Mad 50 Miler.

On the 4th Feb 2012 I ran 50 miles form Oxford to Henley on Thames with two serving Royal Marines (i must be mad or having a mid life crisis). For information see the link at the bottom of the page.

We started at 0830hrs with a temperature of -10 (wind chill of -18) for the first 20 miles i was ill with DnV so our team got split up. I carried on to each check point, meeting my partner Debbie and daughter Nicole (who's support and morale kept me pushing on to make the end).

At the half way point the weather took a turn for the worst and it began to snow and was like being in the artic (all character building as they say) despite the early set back of myself being ill all three team members completed Ian and Aaron in 10hrs 28mins and myself in 11hrs 45mins.

As you can see i ran in memory of my Mum and Nan who have passed away but both recieved care from the Pilgrims Hospice team in Thanet, Kent, who's care and consideration for the whole family was second to none and faultless.

So therefore as a thank you i am trying to raise as much money as i can for them as they are a charity that does a fantastic job in every way.

I would be grateful for any donation of any size as every little helps, this is a worthwhile cause and none of us ever know if we are ever going to need the services of these fantastic people and the facilities they provide not just during the latter stages of someones life but also support and help after the passing of a loved ones.

So please give as much as you can spare, and gift aid so the hospice gets the full benefits.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

May i take this opportunity to thank you for your donations and support however small it may be, I am sure my Mum and Nan would appreciate your every effort.

Many thanks

Lee & The Boys.

Thames Trot Ultra 50 www.gobeyondultra.co.uk
.
