3Aug18 to 10 Aug18, one hundred colleagues from across HSBC including I will be undertaking a 100 km trek across what is known as the Arctic Circle Trail in Greenland. We are doing this to support WaterAid who are striving to provide clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to a number of countries in the developing world. Having seen first hand the impact of scarcity of water and sanitation facilities, I am committed to supporting this cause along with my colleagues and HSBC who will be make a matching funding for the cause.
Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good. With clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, children are born healthier. They get the chance to go to school and grow up to become adults. Women and men get to earn a living. Whole communities start to thrive. It sounds normal and it should be.
I request all my friends and family to generously support this cause. Cheers and God Bless!
