Story
As you will now be aware (given you are on my sponsorship page!) I have foolishly applied for and have been successful in gaining a place to run the 2010 London Marathon. I don’t quite know what possessed me because I normally struggle to run a bath. However, it is now too late to back out and as my training is well under way (I now run to the pub instead of walking), it would be a shame to waste all of my hard work!
To commemorate this momentous occasion, I am intending to raise £1,500 for Everychild, who are a UK based charity that work to provide children in developing countries with healthcare, education and family support through sponsorship programmes, a very good cause I am sure you will agree. If you would therefore be kind enough to sponsor me (no amount to great or small!) to run the 2010 London Marathon, I will be eternally grateful.
Thank you all in advance of your kind generosity, and if you want something in return for your outlay, then I know of a good day out on the final Sunday of April which is not only free to attend, but will also be hilarious entertainment to soothe your Sunday morning hangovers!
