My story
NEWSFLASH: Kate and Leigh are on track to run the marathon, however, I (Sara) am no longer running the marathon due to injury. I will however be doing 24 peaks in 24 hours in September and hope that all of my donators will be happy to transfer! I will be in touch directly soon.
UPDATE - Sorry to all those who have already donated as I (Sara) put the wrong charity on the origional page....In my defence there was only one letter in it..... Sara, Kate and Leigh are running the Brighton Marathon (not a joke!) in order to raise money for Dorton House Nursery near Sevenoaks, run by the Royal London Society for the Blind.
Archie, Leigh and Neil's gorgeous little boy has been visiting the nursery since he was 8 months old. Archie has reduced vision as a result of a combination of a delay in visual development and a damaged optic nerve. His experiences at Dorton House have been invaluable in building his confidence and helping his development. The nursery provides wonderful resources for visual and sensory stimulation and fantastic staff with compassion and specialist knowledge. The staff have thought of absolutely everything in order to create a place where visually impaired children can learn and be inspired. Archie loves being at Dorton House and his family very grateful that such a welcoming and special place exists being a huge support to all of the families that attend.
However, the continuation of Dorton house relies, in part, on donations. Your donation will go towards allowing more children to have the opportunity to attend Dorton house.
