Story
I'm raising funds and awareness of AMMF, the charity that does so much support as well as research into the rare cancer that Andy got before he passed away 6 years ago.
Andy was a great friend from when I was very young... we spent our teenage years doing the things that teenagers do (cough-cough). He spent a few years in Hong Kong in the late 90's, then moving on to Vietnam where he found his beautiful wife and after moving back to the UK, had two fantastic children. He was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma in 2004, and finally succumbed to it in March 2006.
I can say again, as I have said before, that I was always proud to have been his friend.. he was a good man (even with his faults!), and this ride is something that I promised myself that I would do for him.
More information on the AMMF cancer charity can be found at www.ammf.org.uk, but in short they do great work supporting those affected by the cancer, as well as funding research into finding out more information about the cancer, and how it might be treated.
