<p><strong><span style="color: #003300;"><a href="http://www.fredwhittonchallenge.org.uk/fourseasons.php" target="_blank">The Fred Whitton Four Seasons Challenge</a> is a 112 mile cycling 'sportive' in the Lake District.</span></strong><br /><strong><span style="color: #003300;">It includes the six main Passes - Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott and Wrynose - and has a reputation for being pretty tough!</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #003300;">So why choose to cycle it 10 times?</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #003300;">Because I <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>CAN</em></span>!</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #003300;">I am reasonably fit and healthy, and I am not averse to putting myself through some physical and emotional hardship.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #003300;">Some people don't have that option. And cancer can effect anyone at any time. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #003300;">The incredible work and support that Macmillan provide can make a huge difference to those people who are experiencing <em>real </em>hardship. <br />I have seen it with my own eyes, as a Grandson, and a Son, and professionally when I was a Paediatric ICU Nurse.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #003300;">I hope that a few like-minded people will come along and share some of this journey with me, because I know it will be tough, and support and encouragement make a massive difference.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #003300;">Maybe together we can make just a small amount of difference to the lives of the people who really need what Macmillan can offer them!</span></strong></p>
