Pete Paphides, rock critic, curated this album for the fast food restaurant chain Leon. Pete often passes time in our Brent Cross restaurant and together we devised the idea of a cheese-free Christmas playlist. He set about the task with a furrowed-brow intensity – no one’s brows furrow quite like Pete’s – disappearing into his broom cupboard for long nights with only his legendary vinyl collection for company.

Finally Pete emerged. “When I do something, I want to do it properly,” he said. And he handed us a Christmas playlist so completely brilliant, so mind-blowingly original that we have been playing it on a loop and smiling like loons ever since. We decided it was a crime to restrict it to our restaurants. So we are launching a selection of the tracks as a charidee album.

This is what you WILL be listening to on Christmas day. And it will make you happy.
