My name is Leo tranter and I am nearly 18 months old, happy and healthy and very loved...

I'm not my mum and dads first child, I had a sister, a beautiful little girl called Lauren. She passed away when she was 11 months old of a rare type of mitochondrial disease. There is no cure and very little effective treatment,  but the lily foundation are doing amazing work in research and  they also give support  to all the families effected by this disease. This research has meant that my mum and dad found the nasty gene that caused my sisters illness and this meant before I was even born they could test to see if I had it. I don't! And mum and dad say that's worth 1million pennies (maybe more) so, we are going to try and find these pennies and help the lily foundation with their research to help other families like ours that aren't always as lucky! 

I hope you can help me, you could do a house raid, penny patrol in your school, have one of the lily foundations penny collectors at your canteen at work, or simply just donate pennies to my just giving site. 

There is no time limit on this challenge, it could take us 10weeks, months or years but our aim is simply to find those pennies and spread the word about the Lily Foundation and the amazing work they do!
