The nation’s leading first aid charity. Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes. Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities and thanks to them fewer lives will be lost needlessly. Raise money. Help save lives. Be the difference.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

An out of breath former marathon runner ? Nope ! I reckon there's at least one more full marathon to be run by these legs ....

In the past, I have run marathons here in New Zealand - both 'round the lake at Rotorua, and over the harbour bridge at Auckland. So, this time, let's make it a little different - the 2011 Virgin London Marathon next April !

Hey, I've been accepted to run - so now let's make the effort worthwhile by fundraising for St Johns Ambulance. Those guys do a great job, not the least of which is their involvement with all sorts of sports events  ( let's hope I don't need their services in London myself !) So this donation that I am asking you to give goes to St Johns Ambulance in the UK - thanks for your support !

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

And,hey - I am also teamed up with other Marathon runners raising funds for charity. See JustGiving's London Marathon runners 2011 at www.justgiving.com/teams/LondonMarathon2011. Be part of this awesome charity fundraising effort !    Cheers,   Les
