I am trekking from the Pacific Coast to the Caribbean Coast in Costa Rica for Havens Hospices. This charity provides terminally ill people and their families much needed love, support and care in the Southend area.

Without their continuing love and support through a very difficult period where I lost both my husband and father to cancer in November 2008, I would not be where I am today - asking you to support me in my mad challenge!

Cancer can hit us all as my family and I found out only too well. So please give generously, this charity really need our help as they rely solely on donations to survive.

I am to raise the tour costs myself through boot sales and other means so please don't think your generosity is paying for a luxurious holiday.
