Dear friends and colleagues thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those out there who are unaware, I currently work as secretary to Andrew Miles within the extremely busy Colorectal Team at the  - .

I have been a very keen runner now for over 15 years, competing in events ranging from 10km through to Half Marathons, with the odd 'Sodbury Slog' (a torturous 10 mile mud and river packed event) thrown in for good measure.  The Virgin London Marathon 2010 however will  be my first ever distance event.  I have been training hard throughout the latter part of last summer and slogging my way through our recent bitter winter in anticipation of securing that all importatant place.  My Sundays (come rain or shine) are currently given over to my long runs, currently I am up to 18 miles on a Sunday morning with interval and hill training during the week.  I still have a little way to go, however, I am confident that my fitness will be at a level where I might even enjoy it come the 25th April !!

I have pledged to raise a minimum of £1500 for Bowel and Cancer Research.

I would like to thank everyone who has donated to date and helped me move the total towards the magic £1500.  A very special thank you to my Mum and Dad who have made a massive effort raising money through their friends and various clubs, and their extreme generosity in this there 50 Wedding Anniversary year by asking family and friends to donate to this cause as an alternative to anniversary gifts.

I would very much appreciate if you could take the time to sponsor me for this event.  Any gift you can give will help me towards my £1500 + goal.  Please remember that no matter what you are able to give, it will be gratefully received.

Thank you in advance for your support.
