<p>Hi friends,</p> <p>An introduction to myself first of all, my name is Lewis Agnew, I am 22 years of age and am a Personal Trainer. I live just outside of Brighton in the UK and I am just about to embark upon a 3940 mile bike ride across America.</p> <p>As im sure you have already guessed, this is the reason for this page. I am aiming to raise &pound;20,000 for my charity of choice Chestnut Tree House. This charity has touched so many lives in an amazing way and needs all the help they can get.</p> <p>Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in Sussex and cares for children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses from all over the county, offering&nbsp;a place where all of the family can go and spend quality time with each other away from doctors and hospitals. The two of us will start at a tiny village in Maine called Lubec and cycle the 3940 mile journey towards the finish line in Los Angeles, California.&nbsp; You can watch our journey as daily blogs and video footage will be available on our website; <a href="http://www.larscycle.com">www.larscycle.com</a></p> <p>We will be completing this cycle purely by ourselves, we will not have a safety team with us or any other assistance. The projected finishing time will be 39 days in total. This is a huge challenge for both Richard and I and that is why we are aiming at the &pound;20,000 mark. We feel that our efforts should benefit those less fortunate than ourselves and give others life changing moments as im sure this will be for us.</p> <p>So please dig deep and donate as much as you can to help such a fantastic cause, thank you.</p>
