Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am going to volunteer in Uganda on an International Citizen Service (ICS) project with a charity called Restless Development. This page is to fundraise for the charity to be able to send further volunteers abroad. Restless Development empowers young people in the developing world and bases it's teaching on three core goals: civic participation, livelihoods and employment and sexual and reproductive health.
ICS is the UK’s leading global volunteering programme for young people, funded by the Department for International Development and dedicated to fighting poverty and making a difference. ICS only works with projects that have requested help and where the skills of volunteers can make a direct impact, rather than imposing individuals on areas which do not necessary benefit from their help.
To raise money for this I am aiming to take part in a number of activities which I will post here:
- Live Below the Live: involves living below the poverty line, on £1 a day for 5 days. This is the unimaginably small amount of money which 1.4 billion people around the world have to live on. During this period I will use this money to buy my own food and will solely use my bike or my feet as transport

- I am selling two tickets to Brighton and Hove Albion v Nottingham Forest on 15th December
