Last year I tackled the Welsh 3000s with the Acre team for our annual Foundation challenge... this year we're facing 'The Accursed Mountains'

Treking through Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia will be no mean feat; the challenge is harder and more ambitious in km, walking hours, elevation gained and crucially we're to be without a lot of home comforts. The remotest areas of Albania wont have the electricity to sustain our iphone batteries!

This year, as with last, we are supporting Plastic Oceans UK. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated and go to a very important cause.

Plastic Oceans UK have been experts on plastic pollution for nearly a decade. This began with their award-winning documentary A Plastic Ocean, now available for streaming on Netflix.Each year an extra eight million tonnes of plastic enters the ocean. 

By supporting them, you're facilitating their education, science and sustainability programmes that will create a wave of change. Through changing attitudes, behaviours and practices on the use and value of plastics, we can stop plastic pollution reaching the ocean within a generation.
