Well, done it, took the plunge and signed up for the Manchester 10K run!!   The aim is to raise £500 for Diabetes UK, to help fund research that will hopefully one day lead to a cure.  

Type 1 Diabetes is a cruel condition that leads to complications such as kidney failure, blindness, lower limb amputation and many more, and affects millions of people in the UK.  On a personal level, two of my children Adam (17), and Megan (11) have the condition, and therefore this is a cause extremely close to my heart!!     Adam was diagnosed when he was 5years old and Megan when she was 3.   I don't expect to set any new world records, just to finish it on the same day as I start it would be good!!
