We're raising funds to help older and younger people gain confidence in the future, whatever challenges they face today.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In October 2018 I will take on the Santander International Community Challenge. I will travel to Cambodia for a week to build classrooms for the Knapor Community near Siem Reap. Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in Southeast Asia, with limited education in rural areas and a rapidly growing population. This means overcrowded classrooms and stretched resources within schools.

Barnardo's and Age UK are doing amazing work, arguably for people at the most potentially vulnerable stages of their lives, both young and old. There has been an increasing trend, over the last few years where focus and support at these stages of peoples lives is not where it should be and a significant share is delivered via Barnardo's and Age UK and other similar charities.

As well as making a huge difference to families in Cambodia, I will be aiming to raise at least £2,000 to help older and younger people supported by Age UK Barnardo's.

So how will I be raising this money? This is where I am asking for your help, it would be great if you can help me raise as much money as possible, no matter how big or small every penny counts.

To perhaps give you a little more incentive to reach into you pockets, e-wallets, mobile banking applications etc. I will also be undertaking some more physical challenges.

You may recall last year Stephen and I ran Tough Mudder, getting dropped into a tank of ice cold water, getting covered head to toe in thick mud and being electrocuted, not once but twice by 10,000 volts.

Well on Saturday 19th May we will begin our Tough Mudder season. In 2018 we will complete 4 Tough Mudder events, yes that's right 4. That's over 40 miles running, at least 4 ice baths and no doubt numerous electrocutions.
