We help active and retired fishermen in UK to receive emergency help

Story

We are going to join the Fishermen's Mission on a trek up mount Kilimanjaro in Africa to help raise funds for their work. We will arrive at the foot of the mountain on October the 5th to embark on a 7 day trek up the Machame Route covering a distance of 63 kilometres and climbing 19,340 feet to the summit. It will be a very challenging but ultimately rewarding expedition for a worthy cause.

THE ROYAL NATIONAL MISSION TO DEEP SEA FISHERMEN

The mission is the only national charity caring specifically for our fishermen and their families in our local community and further afield. They receive no government funding and depend on voluntary contributions to continue their fantastic and vital work., providing financial, practical and spiritual help to working, retired and disabled fishermen, their wives, widows and children.

But for the Mission to always be on hand to offer the support that our brave fishermen deserve,

                                                                              They need our help.

£15            Will cover the cost of a hospital visit to see a seriously injured fisherman

£35            Will provide an outing for five year old Sarah, a fisherman's daughter from Lerwick, suffering from a

serious illness and receiving treatment in Glasgow

£50            Will pay for new clothes for Ben, whose fishing boat has just sunk off Cornwall and who needs to get

                  home to Lowestoft

£100         Pays for post traumatic stress counselling for Tom, whose crew mates were drowned when their boat

                  sank in the Irish Sea.

£1000      Will pay for one week's welfare services for the Brixham fishing community.
