Bolton Hospice Strictly Learn to Dance · 5 April 2014

Our consultant-led team of doctors, nurses and other professional staff provide expert care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families, in the hospice and at home.

Story

I am taking on what I consider to be quite a demanding challenge, over a ten week period I will have to learn three dances with my partner, the quick-step, the walts and rock and roll.
I was volunteered for the job by my news editor who knows I am usually up for a laugh but who didn't know quite what a clumsy oaf I am.

Nevertheless me and my dance partner Cathy are determined to become Bolton's answer to Fred Astair and Ginger Rodgers and thankfully she knows a bit about dancing already.

Anyway, the fundraising target is £400 as that is how much it costs to run Bolton Hospice for just one hour, as a reporter in Bolton I regularly see the fantastic work that the hospice does for people and their families at the most difficult of times.

It is a truly worthy cause (well it must be to make me take up dancing) and I would be most grateful if people could give what they can to help me rach my target and justify my making a complete tool out of myself.
