Story
I'm taking part in Tough Mudder on June 8th, a "harcore 12 mile obstacle course designed by the Special Forces to test your all round strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie" and have decided to raise some money for a charity that means a lot to me while I'm at it.
I was lucky enough to be able to do some volunteering for them while I was in India this year. I didn't have enough time to stay as long as I wanted, and I still think about the children a lot.
It is a small charity that does not get the support of huge fundrasing events like many others, and is relitivley unknown. The money raised here can really, really help the schools, children and families that don't have any other support.
Educators' Trust India works to help & educate the children of migrant, impoverished, illiterate families. We focus on literacy, health, hygiene & nutrition. Solely funded by charitable donations, we run schools & outreach projects in Goa, western India.
