Moving Mountains is a progressive charity with over 15 years experience, run by teams who are highly experienced in the development sector. We fund social welfare, educational and health projects in Nepal and East Africa, where we have set up our own NGOs.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June 2014, students at Leeds University, members of Leeds RAG (raise and give), will be taking part in a climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the biggest lone-standing mountain in the works, which will be a huge challenge for me as well as extremely rewarding, in aid of the charity Moving Mountains.  During our time in Africa we will also be teaching English to young African students and taking part in aid programmes in the region.

Prior to the expedition, we will be taking up a whole host of activities aimed at raising funds and awareness of the important charity that we are supporting, I'll keep you posted on facebook and twitter on the activities we get involved in.

As you know I have always wanted to work with children in the developing world and I hope that we will provide some the chance of a better life.

My goal is to raise £1225 for moving mountains as well as £1075, which will be used to pay park fees for the expedition. Just to let you know none of this money will go towards flights, visas, equipment etc, so don't worry you're not paying for me to go on holiday :).
