Elizabeth Chapman age 11 is attempting to walk up her first Mountain. Elizabeth is raising money for the 22^nd World Scout Jamboree in Sweden in 2011.

Elizabeth’s father Lawrence, will be going with Elizabeth up Snowdon, on the Pyg track route from Pen y pass. Lawrence needs to raise £1350 to attend the World Scout Jamboree in 2011. World Jamborees take place every four years and this one is etimated to take 40,000 prticipants. Without leaders like Lawrence going out to work at the Jamboree others would not be able to go. Although Lawrence is going to Sweden to work hard to help the jamboree to run he still has to raise £1350.

Update 28-8-10

We made the walk up Snowdon on Wednesday 25th Aug. We started from the carpark just after 8am. As you can see from the photos we had reasonable weather. Elizabeth was feeling very nervous to start with and was even sick in the carpark before we started! We were at the top by 11.30.
