Kitzbühel Gamstrail · 22 September 2018
Hi, I’m Stuart Crawford and I was lucky enough to win a free place for myself and a friend in the Kitzbühel Gamstrail Mountain trail race on 22nd September 2018 in the Austrian Alps. And because of this I've decided to complete this challenge in aid of NSPCC and support Lidl's charity work for this great cause.
The work the NSPCC do will likely have touched the life of someone we may know, work with or see in our day to day lives, whether we realise it or not. We may never know, because the work the NSPCC did ensured that child grew to be the person they are today. They are the only charity committed to ending child abuse and fighting for childhood.
Every child deserves a childhood free from abuse.
The Race

The race is set over 20km of mountainous terrain, starting in the town of Kitzbühel in the Austrian Alpine Tyrol region. The total elevation we will climb during the race is 1,270m and over 800m of this is in the initial 6km!
As an additional challenge, the day after the race we will be hiking to the summit of Rastkogel mountain, in the Tux Alps. This will be a 22km hike along mountain trails, ridges, scrambles and climbs ascending to the summit of the mountain at 2,762 meters above sea level.
Photos of the race route, race elevation profile and summit of Rastkogel mountain are attached below.
All donations to this page will go directly to the NSPCC and will be gratefully received.
Many thanks!
Stuart
